Dinner’s spinning in the microwave
Emails flooding our phone
Another like on a random post
From folks we don’t even know
Life is now a scroll
With emphasis on what we own
Fool's gold catching our eye
We lose sleep, and no longer can count sheep
As screen stares us in the eye
Work to-dos and bills due keeps us awake at night
Sometimes it makes us wanna cry
We chase life on the hamster wheel
As the years passes by
And so, I’m offering this food for thought
To souls from one to ninety-two
Do what you love, more than doing for love
Your time does not renew
