Goodbye
The wrapping of gifts, growth and grief
Be it a break up or a break away, that final goodbye comes with weight no ocean of tears can keep afloat. No gust of relief can lift. It sinks in and it sinks in deep. It is often why we try holding on, even when it hurts, because goodbye, that final goodbye, hurts more.
Notwithstanding, there is a final goodbye coming: to school, to friendships, to family, to life... to everything. Cry if you must, there’s no shame in it. Final goodbyes will remain as they are: a pain in the heart... its weight of finality setting it apart; pushing us apart.
